Impact on Market Stability
The arrival of STI MIGHTY and ST AMRAH at Lagos depots is expected to improve fuel supply. However, market prices may still fluctuate due to global oil price trends, OPEC production cuts, and exchange rate movements. Brent crude is currently trading at $73.03 per barrel, while the naira’s exchange rate stands at ₦1,532.39 per dollar (CBN rate) and ₦1,570 per dollar (black market rate).
With new shipments at Pinnacle and MRS depots, Nigeria’s fuel supply remains steady. These deliveries will help maintain stock levels and support retailers. However, stakeholders will continue monitoring price changes, as global market conditions could impact fuel costs in the coming days.
