As of today 12th April, 2025, Five petroleum tankers berthed at various Lagos jetties, discharging a combined volume of over 192,000 metric tonnes (MT) of oil products. The Tanker Position Report shows active offloading of AGO, LPG, base oil, and crude oil at MENJ, NAVGAS, CHIPET, DANGOTE, and ARDOVA/AA RANO terminals underscoring the critical role of coordinated vessel traffic in ensuring product availability amid market uncertainties.
According to the Daily Oil and Gas Intelligence Report, the following tankers were berthed and are actively discharging.

Strategic Implications
The berthing and discharging of these tankers indicate tight scheduling and port coordination. MENJ Oil received 10,000 MT of AGO from COROMEL, while NAVGAS received 12,000 MT of LPG from BARUMK GAS (vessel), also CHIPET received 20,000 MT of AGO from a vessel code named PEACE ONE, while DANGOTE received 135,909 MT of crude from the vessel STENA SUNRISE, and ARDOVA / AA RANO received 15,000 MT of base oil from the vessel OWL 1 in total the Lagos axis received 30,000 MT of AGO, 12,000 MT of LPG , 135,909 MT of crude and 15,000 MT of Base oil.
The diversity of products delivered reflects both upstream and downstream alignment. Diesel and base oil cater to domestic and industrial needs, LPG supports household demand and crude for production of petroleum products.
Outlook
Nigeria’s energy logistics chain remains heavily reliant on maritime coordination, and the 11 April tanker activity demonstrates effective port usage and product flow. As global crude prices fluctuate and domestic demand grows, continued efficiency in tanker scheduling and depot readiness will be vital in sustaining market stability and ensuring product sufficiency.
