The new Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), Bayo Ojulari, has pledged to build strong partnerships that will help the company meet its goals under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Ojulari made this known on Wednesday during a courtesy visit to the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri. He stressed the importance of collaboration in transforming Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
“We’re stepping in with a mindset of partnership working closely with the Petroleum Ministry, Finance Ministry, and all key players. The goal is to break barriers and move forward together. Conflict slows us down; teamwork moves us forward,” he said.
Working together for progress
Minister Lokpobiri welcomed the new leadership and expressed confidence in their capacity. He said many members of the NNPC team have a proven track record and are well-respected in the industry.
“This is arguably the strongest NNPC team we’ve seen. Now is the time to turn potential into results especially by raising crude oil output and ensuring the industry delivers value to Nigerians,” he said.
He promised full support and a close working relationship with Ojulari.
A new chapter for oil and gas
According to a statement by NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the renewed partnership between the NNPC and key government bodies signals a fresh era marked by purpose, teamwork, and national progress.
