Depot Prices Weekly Review: 28th April – 2nd May 2025(Petroleumprice.ng)

As at today 3rd May 2025, Depot prices across Nigeria’s key depots showed slight fluctuations between 28 April and 2 May 2025.

The period recorded mixed price movements in Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

These changes, observed at Dangote Refinery and depots in Dockyard, Coconut, Satellite, Delta, Port Harcourt, and Calabar, reflect subtle shifts in demand, product availability, and logistical trends.

This weekly price review provides strategic insight for marketers, logistics operators, and downstream stakeholders navigating Nigeria’s volatile fuel market.

    Dangote Refinery Prices: 28 April – 2 May 2025

    • PMS: ₦838 → ₦840
    • AGO: ₦944 → ₦946
    • LPG: Stable at ₦830
    • ATK: Stable at ₦1,000

Diesel (AGO) saw a mild dip, possibly due to surplus supply. PMS edged up slightly, while LPG and ATK remained unchanged, suggesting stable inland distribution.

    Dockyard Axis Depot Prices

    PMS:

    • Aiteo: ₦837 → ₦838
    • Nipco: ₦842 → ₦845

    AGO:

    • Nipco: Steady at ₦980
    • Aiteo: ₦943 → ₦958

    LPG:

    • Nipco & Ardova: Both steady at ₦975

PMS prices dipped marginally, while AGO prices slid further at Aiteo. LPG showed price resilience across major marketers.

    Coconut Axis Depot Prices

    PMS:

    • Sahara: Flat at ₦840
    • Aipec: ₦838 → ₦839

    AGO:

    • Ibeto & Africa Terminal: ₦944→ ₦960

    ATK:

    • Sahara: Stable at ₦1,050

The Coconut axis saw downward movement in diesel prices, while PMS and ATK remained steady amid balanced supply-demand patterns.

    Delta Depot Price Movement

    PMS:

    • Pinnacle, Matrix, Shafa, Zamson: All steady at ₦864–₦865

    AGO:

    • AYM Shafa: ₦987→ ₦992
    • Pinnacle Warri: ₦987 → ₦995
    • Taurus: ₦990 → ₦992
    • Parker: ₦986→ ₦992

    ATK:

    • Matrix Warri: Flat at ₦1,010

The Delta region maintained strong PMS price stability, with slight drops in AGO likely tied to increased coastal supply inflow.

    Port Harcourt Depot Prices

    PMS:

    • Liquid Bulk, SIGMUND, EVER: All flat at ₦870

    AGO:

    • Bulk Strategic: Held at ₦997

Port Harcourt’s depots remained unchanged for both PMS and AGO, indicating a well-regulated and balanced market.

    Calabar Depot Price Summary

    PMS:

    • Fynefield & Mainland: Unchanged at ₦875

PMS prices remained firm, suggesting stable consumer demand and supply chain efficiency in Calabar.

    Satellite Axis Price Review

    PMS:

    • AA Rano: ₦838 → ₦839
    • Menj: ₦840 → ₦842

    AGO:

    • Mao: ₦943→₦960
    • Chipet: ₦944→ ₦960

    ATK:

    • Rain Oil: Stable at ₦1,045

The Satellite corridor experienced minor downward movement in AGO and PMS prices, consistent with trends in neighboring depots.

    Market Outlook & Industry Insight

Depot pricing in Nigeria for the week ending May 2, 2025, revealed a slightly bearish tone for AGO across most coastal terminals.

PMS prices were mostly stable, while LPG and ATK saw no major fluctuations. As Dangote’s refinery output stabilizes, pricing is expected to become more predictable.

For marketers and logistics planners, this review underscores the importance of real-time tracking and strategic stocking. Regulatory bodies like NMDPRA must continue to ensure transparency and fairness in product distribution.
