The largest downstream energy event on the continent, OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week, has officially opened its doors in Lagos, drawing energy stakeholders from across Africa and the globe. The expo began with a keynote session on “Alliances for Growth – Markets, Operations, and Policy,” addressing collaborative strategies for sector growth.

Present at the opening were industry leaders, including Dr. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, CEO of Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority; Dame Winifred Akpani, Chairman of DAPPMAN; Mr. Farouk Ahmed, CEO of NMDPRA; Mrs. Joyce Akabogu, CEO of OTL Downstream Development in Africa; Mr. Huub Stokman, MEMAN Chairman; and Mr. Tunji Oyebanji, Chairman of OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week.
The 18th annual expo promises insightful discussions and networking opportunities aimed at advancing Africa’s energy markets and infrastructure. The event which kicked off October 28 is expected to end on October 31.
