The Federal Government has unveiled plans to construct an 80-metre bridge in front of the Dangote Refinery, aiming to facilitate smooth truck movement along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. This initiative is part of the highway’s Section 2 development.
Minister of Works, David Umahi, llannounced this during a stakeholder meeting in Lagos. He emphasized that the bridge’s design will ensure efficient truck traffic to and from the refinery, reducing congestion in the area.
“As we advance to Section 2 of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, we encounter the impressive Lekki Free Zone project. To navigate in front of the Dangote Refinery, we’ve planned an 80-metre span bridge to enable seamless truck movement without hindrance,” Umahi explained.
This development underscores the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and supporting industrial growth in the region.
