As of today, 21st June 2025, depot prices across Nigeria continued their upward trend, with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) recording notable hikes in several locations.

The five-day review spanning Monday 16th to Friday 20th June reflected increased tension in the international crude market and rising local transportation costs.

According to Petroleumprice.ng, this review covers major petroleum hubs across Dangote Refinery, Coconut, Satellite, Dockyard, Delta, Port Harcourt, and Calabar.

    • PMS: ₦825 → ₦880
    • AGO: ₦1,020 → ₦1,055
    • LPG: ₦845 → ₦845
    • ATK: ₦962 → ₦962

    Analysis:
Satellite depots showed strong increases in PMS and AGO. Mao and Wosbab’s AGO rose by ₦55, while Rain Oil saw a slight ATK drop, possibly due to demand corrections.

    • NIPCO (AGO): ₦1,100 → ₦1,100
    • Navgas (LPG): ₦870 → ₦880
    • NIPCO (LPG): ₦865 → ₦900

    Analysis:
Dockyard saw PMS increases and a moderate LPG climb. NIPCO’s AGO price held firm, pointing to steady supply despite rising PMS activity.

    Delta Axis Depot Prices

    • Mainland (PMS): ₦920 → ₦935
    • Hyde (PMS): ₦930 → ₦935

    Analysis:
Calabar PMS prices remained fairly stable, with minor variations. Mainland and Hyde posted ₦15 increases, indicating steady off-take in the region.

    Market Insight and Outlook

Depot price changes from 16th to 20th June 2025 suggest:

    • A widespread increase in PMS, particularly in Coconut and Satellite axes.
    • AGO prices spiked at multiple locations, driven by strong industrial demand and logistics costs.
    • LPG mostly recorded modest gains, while ATK stayed flat, indicating stable aviation supply.

With Brent crude trading above $78 and regional conflicts causing nervousness in global markets, depot prices may stay elevated in the coming week. Marketers are advised to track vessel schedules and monitor landing cost adjustments as local demand tightens.
