The Depot and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN) has reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) following the appointment of Engr. Seidu Aliyu Mohammed as the Authority’s new Chief Executive.
To mark the transition, a high-level delegation led by DAPPMAN Chairman Mrs. Moroti Adedoyin-Adeyinka paid a courtesy visit to the Authority’s headquarters in Abuja. The visit formally welcomed the new leadership while also outlining areas for continued cooperation.
During the meeting, Mrs. Adedoyin-Adeyinka said the association remains focused on supporting regulatory efforts that strengthen energy security, improve market stability, and promote sustainable growth in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector. She noted that, in an evolving market environment, effective regulation and industry partnership are essential to ensuring a reliable nationwide fuel supply.
In response, Engr. Mohammed thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to maintaining a transparent and enabling regulatory framework. He added that NMDPRA would continue to engage stakeholders constructively to drive sector growth, strengthen compliance, and improve overall performance.
Meanwhile, the delegation featured senior officials and leading industry executives, including Dr. Chris Igwe, First Vice Chairman; Alh. Ali Ibrahim, Second Vice Chairman; Mr. Olufemi Adewole, Executive Secretary; Alh. Yakubu Maishanu, Chairman of A.Y.M Shafa; Alh. Auwalu Rano, Chairman of A.A. Rano, and Alh. Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Matrix Energy Limited.
Overall, the visit highlights DAPPMAN’s intention to deepen engagement with the regulator as Nigeria’s midstream and downstream sector continues to adjust to regulatory reforms, infrastructure expansion, and changing market dynamics.
